Chick-fil-A is Here!!!

Normally Amy writes these posts, but today your going to get some words from David, because something has happened that I just have to write about.   Chick-fil-A has finally opened a store in the Chicago area!     This may not seem like a big deal to those of you who live in the South and are within driving distance of a Chick-fil-A at all times, but we have been living without for some time now.   There are a few in Missouri and a couple in Indiana, but none close enough to drive to until Thursday of this week.    

The store opened on Thursday and Amy, Grayson and I just happened to be in the area doing some shopping.   We took a look at the line and decided that we'd probably better wait a few days because the line was out the door and wrapping around the parking lot.   The line for the drive through had to be at least 50 cars long.     We felt like bad southerners, but we had a baby so we figured that was a decent excuse. 

Well we were back up in the area on Saturday and the line was still out into the parking lot.    We decided that we couldn't pass it up a second time and joined the back of the drive through line that had to be at least 30 cars long still.    They had things pretty well organized so we actually got through the line in about 15-20 minutes, which wasn't to bad all things considered.    The food was just as fantastic as we remembered and it was certainly worth the wait.   

I had some chicken nuggets and Amy had the new spicy chicken sandwich.   The spicy sandwich sure is spicy!   I tried a bite and you sure notice the spice!   We both had a chocolate shake as well, which was a great way to finish a great meal.
